Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original research that has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions must be written in English and prepared according to the formatting and bibliographic standards specified by the conference organizers.
Manuscript Preparation
Authors should prepare their manuscripts using the official GEODETA 2026 paper template, which will be available on the conference website. The manuscript should follow these general formatting requirements:

Format: A4 size, single column or double column according to the template

Structure of the Paper
Authors should organize their manuscripts using the following structure:

Title – Clear and concise, reflecting the main contribution of the study.

Authors and Affiliations – Include institutional affiliation and email address of the corresponding author.

Abstract – A summary of 150–500 words describing the objectives, methods, results, and significance of the study.

Keywords – 3–5 keywords related to the topic of the paper.

Introduction – Background, problem statement, and research objectives.

Methodology – Description of data, methods, and analytical procedures.

Results and Discussion – Presentation and interpretation of research findings.
-
Conclusion – Summary of the main results and implications of the study.

Citation and Bibliographic Style
References must be formatted consistently using a recognized academic citation style such as APA, IEEE, or Harvard style, depending on the conference template. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

Figures, Tables, and Equations

Figures and tables should be clearly labeled and referenced in the text.

Images must have sufficient resolution for publication.

Each figure and table should include a descriptive caption.

Equations should be numbered sequentially if referenced in the text.
Supplementary Materials
Authors are encouraged to submit supplementary materials to enhance the transparency and reproducibility of their research. These materials may include:

Code or scripts used for analysis

Survey instruments or questionnaires

Additional figures or tables
-
Methodological documentation
Supplementary files will be made available to readers where appropriate to support deeper engagement with the research.
Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted through the official GEODETA 2026 submission system before the specified deadlines. Submissions will undergo a peer-review process conducted by the scientific committee. Authors of accepted papers will be required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments before final submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.
- If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.

Authors who submit to the 2nd International Conference on Geospatial Data Science: Theory and Application 2026 (GEODETA 2026) agree to the following terms:
a) Authors retain copyright over their work, while granting the conference the right to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons Attribution License. This license permits others to freely access, use, distribute, and share the work, provided that proper acknowledgment is given to the authors and to its initial presentation at this conference.
b) Authors may waive the terms of the Creative Commons license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of the work (e.g., publication of a revised version in a journal, inclusion in a book, or deposit in an institutional repository), with appropriate acknowledgment of its initial presentation at this conference.
c) Authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal or institutional websites) at any point before and after the conference.
