Peer Review Process
GEODETA 2026 applies a peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific relevance of all accepted papers. All submissions are evaluated by experts in the relevant field based on academic merit and their contribution to geospatial science and technology.
The review process consists of the following stages:
- Initial Screening
- The Editorial Committee conducts a preliminary assessment to verify the manuscript's relevance to the conference scope, compliance with submission requirements, language quality, and overall suitability.
- Submissions that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected before peer review.
- Peer Review
- Each full paper is typically reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic.
- Reviews are conducted using a single-blind review process, where reviewers know the identities of the authors, but authors do not know the identities of the reviewers.
- Additional reviewers may be assigned when review recommendations differ significantly or when further expert evaluation is required.
- Editorial Decision
- Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Scientific Committee may decide to:
- Accept
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept with major revisions
- Reject
- Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Scientific Committee may decide to:
- Revision and Final Evaluation
- Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers' comments.
- Revised papers may undergo further editorial assessment before a final decision is made.
