Peer Review Process

All submitted abstracts and full papers to GEODETA 2026 – The 2nd International Conference on Geospatial Data Science: Theory and Application will undergo a peer-review process conducted by members of the Scientific Committee and invited expert reviewers.

Each submission will typically be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. The review process is designed to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the submitted work.

Reviewers are asked to evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

1. Relevance to the conference theme and topics

2. Originality and novelty of the research

3. Scientific and methodological quality

4. Clarity of presentation and organization

5. Significance and potential contribution to geospatial science and applications

Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the conference directors will make one of the following decisions:

• Accept

• Accept with minor revisions

• Accept with major revisions

• Reject

The typical review process takes 2–3 weeks from the submission deadline. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments before final acceptance.

Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, research experience, and publication record in relevant fields such as geospatial data science, remote sensing, GIS, geodesy, and environmental monitoring. The conference committee aims to ensure a fair, objective, and confidential evaluation of all submissions.
